Spotlight on Meg Heap in Honor of Women’s History Month

Marsy’s Law for Georgia is honored to recognize Advisory Board member and victims’ advocate Meg Heap for Women’s History Month.

Heap, who resides in Savannah, Georgia, is a former District Attorney for Georgia’s Eastern Judicial Circuit and was appointed to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles in January 2021. Her distinguished career has been dedicated to protecting victims in the search for justice and has served as a Volunteer Coordinator and Victim Advocate with the Victim-Witness Assistance Program in the Savannah District Attorney’s Office and as Assistant District Attorney in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit.

In 2019, Heap was named District Attorney of the Year by the District Attorney’s Association of Georgia.

We are so honored to have Meg Heap as a Marsy’s Law for Georgia Advisory Board member with her actively advocating for victims’ rights throughout the State.
